PROFILE:

   Air Vice Marshal Jonnalagadda Rajendra was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in the year 1985. In the course of his service spanning about 36 years, he has held number of Field, Staff and Command assignments with distinction. He tenated coveted appointments such as Commanding Officer HQ Western Air Command (Unit), Subroto Park; Command Judge Advocate; Chief Administrative Officer of Air Force Station New Delhi; Joint Judge Advocate General at Air HQ; Chief of Personnel of Training Command; Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station Avadi (Chennai); Head Administration of Training Command, Bangalore; and the Judge Advocate General (IAF) at Air HQ, New Delhi.

   AVM J Rajendra is MSc in Statistics, MSc in Defence & Strategic Studies, LLM, Masters in HRM, PG Diploma in International Trade Laws and PG Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has also undergone several professional courses in India and abroad.

   He authored the Manual of Management and Accounting of Non Public Funds in the IAF, Manual of Air Force Law and several Government and service policies. He contributed in introducing several innovations towards enhancing efficacy, accountability and economy of expenditure.

   In recognition of his distinguished service of an exceptional order, Air Vice Marshal J Rajendra was conferred multiple awards, including Vishista Seva Medal by the Hon’ble President of India in 2008; and the Ati Vishista Seva Medal by the Hon’ble President of India in 2021.

   AVM Rajendra is an avid sportsman. He is a Cricketer, Athlete and a national level Chess player.

   He is also an experienced Arbitrator.
